WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Once your baby is born, you'll have a lot on your mind, and newborn sessions book up quickly. I recommend getting in touch in your second or third trimester to schedule your session.
WHAT DO I WEAR FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS?
I remember what it was like to put off photos because shopping with a newborn was way too daunting!
I offer my mamas full access to my Studio Wardrobe, complimentary with every session. I have a huge collection of stunning dresses in a wide range of sizes to guarantee you'll look and feel your best in photos. I also offer a number of outfits for young siblings (under 10) to ensure you're all looking your very best. Of course, you're always more than welcome to bring any clothing from home!
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Comfort and Safety
I prioritize the comfort and safety of your newborn throughout the session. My Calgary-based studio is warm and inviting, ensuring a calm environment where everyone can relax.
Natural Posing
I prefer gentle posing methods that showcase your baby’s authentic features and tiny details. You can expect carefully styled setups, neutral backdrops, and cozy wraps that highlight your child’s serene beauty.
Family Inclusion
Parents and siblings are always welcome. Including the entire family helps create meaningful portraits full of love and connection.
HOW LONG DO SESSIONS LAST?
If your little one is especially settled, the session may take as little as an hour and a half, but sessions typically last 2-3 hours, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing and changing your baby.
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO SCHEDULE MY SESSION FOR?
I add your due date to my calendar, and once your little once arrives, we will schedule the session for 7-21 days after birth. I only book a handful of newborns each month so that I can give my clients my full attention.
